Assignment
|
You may
choose to conduct an interview
to supplement your bibliographic research, though this is not a
required assignment for the research project. A qualifying interview (1) is
conducted in person or by telephone, (2) lasts at least 15 minutes, and
(3) involves either an individual personally
involved in the religious community you are studying or a
scholar with specific expertise
in that religious tradition.
To receive credit for a qualifying interview, write a report describing the experience and
explaining how it has contributed to your research project. Bear in
mind the general guidelines
explained on the research
project assignment page as well as the methodology and significance
you identified in your research abstract.
Give your interview report an original
and fitting title, with capitalization that
follows academic
conventions: in general, capitalize the first word of the title
(and
subtitle, if applicable) as well as all subsequent words except
articles, conjunctions, and prepositions.
Use a word processor to draft your report, with single-spaced paragraphs and an extra
paragraph break between
paragraphs (like the layout of this webpage). Be sure to save a copy for your own records.
